Baby food, nappies and children’s medicines at Boots in Heathrow.
Babies and toddlers have an awful lot of stuff. You may have brought all of it with you, but if the airline loses your bags or you just run out, here are some useful shops for restocking:
- Nappies (diapers), dummies (pacifiers), formula milk, sippy cups / baby bottles, first aid stuff, baby food (purees / pouches) - Boots, Superdrug, any supermarket (the main ones are Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons and Waitrose). City centre stores (eg Tesco Express, Sainsbury’s Local) will have a very limited selection, but larger supermarkets will have an aisle full of options. A Google Maps search for Supermarket near me will help you here.
- Emergency clothes - there are many, but for emergency coverage when your child has just thrown up over their last clean T-shirt then look for H&M, Next, Uniqlo or Marks & Spencer for decent quality at an OK price. (Not every M&S sells clothes, check the store details on their website).
- Buggies (strollers, pushchairs, prams) and car seats - if yours breaks or gets lost, the quickest way to get a basic replacement would be to go to a big supermarket or Argos.
Amazon UK can sell you most things with next-day delivery.
